I imagine this would be easy to plug in, I just haven't attempted it yet.

Mainly because I don't quite understand how app-route or app-location works... But this is definitely something I want to add to your element.

Great job on this BTW!

I notice a slow-down when the URL change, too bad… Maybe chrome stopped the js execution for a few milliseconds whenever the URL change ?

Are you talking about a slow down with the section animation scrolling? I'm not seeing it on this end, everything seems pretty good.

However, in the routing demo I noticed that the URL switching isn't updating in IE11
