Make sure it is not called template.ust and that it's valid JSON

You can use an online JSON validator like this one https://jsonlint.com/, Visual Studio Code or other software that can do it

It's something unrelated. Aside from that, remove everything in the path except the audio file. You only need the relative path so if it's in the same folder, you just use the file name+extension and if it's in a folder, you include that too

Are you sure that you selected it? If yes, send me logs of the game after you select it, if not click on the icon or white square then Ok in the UST menu

i don't know of any logs your talking about. Idk if i got the file name of the mannequin skitter correct though. Can you help me with that?

@ZedDevStuff The example.zip you made for someone else doesn't even work for me either

Seems like you didn't enable it? It should have written something in the logs if it loaded or not.

OK, I've noticed something. Some audio files in ultrakill have sort of a post processing effect, including the audio files that replaced it, making the audio I'm using sound heavily distorted. that should fix my issue and i will close this thread once its fixed.

Yes, the 2 songs that play in 2-4 for example have a different pitch, but for this one i set it to normal because i believe users would want to hear the song they put as it is.

Depending on what sound it is it might be hard to do. Alternative for the user would be figuring out what it does and counteracting it by modifying the audio file to account for the processing.

i don't think that's even possible lol. i am trying to make the mannequin skitter the hunter noise from left for dead. I don't think anyone else will modify the mannequin skitter and want the distortion. if its possible, just for mannequinskitter to have the effects removed. @ZedDevStuff
