It would be possible for the bootloader to load the OSCCAL register to
calibrate the internal 8MHz internal oscillator. The idea would be for a
bootloader-loader utility (like optiloader) to run the calibration firmware and
substitute in the appropriate constant at a known place in the code before
burning the bootloader into flash. Poof - A calibrated AVR without using
EEPROM or requiring the user sketch to know anything!
