Can't update the game, it either crashes (NTSC) or just stays black (PAL) #36

When trying to update the game from initial release to anything higher, the game either crashes or just stays black. I haven't found a way to update it yet, but would love to for the inverted camera setting. Do you need to update through every release in chronological order? Or am i missing something here?

Cheers for the work, really impressed by how good it runs!

Hi, same trouble for me. V0.4 works fine in Pal but upgrade to 0.5 and have black screen at start. Have to return to 0.4

Check your foxlogo, gracielogo etc arent corrupted and can be played. Noticed mine didnt play properly in vlc and replaced them. Works fine now.

What worked for me is to rename the nro file from "SimpsonsNTSC" to "Simpsons". Idk if that is correct, but i imagine it is because now the game works and no longer crashes at startup. 0.4 version nro file is also named "Simpsons"
