Project Update 11-4 #6

This week's meeting was focused on checking in on everyone's work for xml and the mid term. Some slight changes were discussed with the website format, such as changing the menu from a table. Regarding the website, other tweaks involved some color differences, but otherwise we all love how the site is coming along. Most of us are close, if not done with the xml markup. We are all focused on finishing any incomplete markup and continuing with our mid term goals: Victoria is handling html, Darian is handling the CSS, Regis is tackling topic modeling, and Alexis is writing for the site.

I took a look at what the site looks like thus far, and can I safely say that I like it! I love the color scheme and I especially like the image that you chose for the background. Sometimes background images will clash with the content thats on the page, but I find this one to be very tasteful and I feel that it very much adds to the theme, both of the research question and the site.

The website for your project looks great so far! I love the background and color palette you guys chose. It really fits with the fairy tale theme. It also seems like everyone has a plan for what to do in terms of getting the project done.

Okay so yes, I, too, looked at the website you've created -- Super neat background. I will say, I'm not the biggest fan of the font that you've decided on for the top selection bar, but that's just me seeing (maybe?) papyrus elements. I think the black text is a bit hard to read on the colored background at times, but I really like the general design. Also, looks like there's a random string of characters that maybe isn't supposed to be there when you navigate to corpus -> click on any tale. But forreal, I'm super excited to read your final site.

Glad to hear that the xml is almost done. I took a look at the website you guys created and it looks good so far! I like the style and the background image for the homepage. One suggestion I might have is changing the color of titles because the black in the titles sometimes clashes with the background, but other than that I think it's looking great.

I really like the site layout you all chose!! Background is definitely striking and goes great with your general color scheme, which is also visually appealing in itself. There is enough contrast between your colors that I actually found it quite easy to read as well, the only instance where I could see it being an issue is if a devices brightness was set very low. Corpus menu seems like a work in progress lol, but I think when it is done it'll make for a really good way to set up the works in your corpus so they are all easily accessible. All looks great, good luck adjusting things over this week :)
