[TEST-REQUEST] - Does backdraft and empowered imp affect rain of fire (hellfire)? #21

1. Describe the mechanic

If imp crits with empowered imp talent will the whole channel of rain of fire be affected (all ticks will crit)? If u have backdraft will your channel time of rain of fire and hellfire be reduced by 30% and consume one charge?

1.1 To test

Steps to test the behavior: Empowered imp

  1. Spec 3/3 empowered imp talent
  2. Make him shoot firebolt until he crits
  3. With empowered imp buff cast rain of fire on the target
  4. See if buff is consumed and if rain of fire ticks are critting or not

Backdraft

  1. Spec 3/3 backdraft
  2. Proc backdraft with conflagrate
  3. Cast rain of fire or hellfire and see if channel time changed and one backdraft charge was consumed

It doesn't work at all, currently. Have tried this 3x with the crit buff, and no tick is guaranteed to crit for rain of fire.

No testing on backdraft done by me.

Empowered imp - tested. Doesn't affect rain of fire in beta for now Backdraft - tested. Doesn't affect rain of fire and hellfire in beta for now

@Nerox90 Do we have any evidence or indication that either affected RoF back in retail wotlk? It be video, elitest jerks, old wowhead comments? I looked at patch notes but no indication there of anything of the sort.

so there is an annoying bug related. Backgraft doesnt effect ROF/Hellfire, but hellfire consumes a tick.
