[TEST-REQUEST] Does Suppression hit work for pets #29

1. Describe the mechanic

Does Suppression - warlock hit talent in Affliction tree - work for pets?

On Wrath, pet should inherit 100% of warlocks hit (and also get expertise soft cap if warlock is hit capped). It is possible that Suppression is excluded from that (based on old posts / sources).

1.1 To Test

Steps to test the behavior:

  1. Spec into 3/3 Suppression
  2. Find a target against which testing warlock have known hit cap - achieve that hit cap but try to stay as little over that cap as possible
  3. Send in pet to attack and see if pet does miss or not. Number of attack should be quite high to see if there is still 3% chance for pet to miss/dodge or not.
  4. Share the results here

here is my felguard hitting a target dummy until I got bored and decided to do something else. I was level 70, the dummy was level 70. I was naked and with 3/3 suppression at the time of summoning my pet and at the time of testing.

update: https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/pKXJv8PVtR1mZY2G/#boss=-3&difficulty=0&type=damage-done&source=9 my felhunter, plenty of melee misses, no spell misses while using suppression to hitcap. https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/gPTKyYL7W86jJAkp/#boss=-3&difficulty=0&type=damage-done&source=8 my imp had one potential miss (maybe not) while using suppression to get to hitcap.
