output file for hcxpcaptools is no where to be found #71

hello I installed the tool today and when testing I was not able to crate an output file. i was attempting to use the following

$ hcxpcaptools -z hacktocrack hash $ hcxpcaptools -z hacktocrack.txt hash $ sudo hcxpcaptools -z hacktocrack hash

after checking the directory, root directory and using $ locate hashtocrack and I was still not able to find the files. I also attempted to use make and Make install but had not success. I hope you can help me resolve my problem with the tool

That isn't a hcxpcaptool issue - closed.

$ hcxpcaptool -z hashfile.16800 pmkidtest.pcapng where pmkidtest.pcapng is your input file and hashfile.16800 is your outputfile

Is your file "hash" a valid cap, pcap, pcapng file?

If there is no outputfile, hcxpcaptool did not a valid cap, pcap, pcapng file in the choosen directory! So, what is the output of $ ls

Running hcxtools as super user isn't a good idea. I assume you running KALI!
