Dear Hendrik,
I tried selecting multiple notes in Zettlr (Mac) but it's not working; it only displays the next note I click. I understand this has been blocked by issue #392?
In the meantime will we just have to export multiple notes using Project? If so how can I combine multiple notes into a project?
Thanks, Michael
Hey, yes, currently not supported and yes, 1.7 is a requisite for that function. For using projects, please see the https://docs.zettlr.com
Thanks for your swift response Hendrik. Yes I've read the documents. Apologies if I missed something, but is it possible to convert a search results into a project?
For instance, I'd like to combine all the notes in the search result below into a single directory/project for PDF export. Am I able to do this within the software, or will I have to manually create a new folder and drag the notes into it outside the software?
Thanks
but is it possible to convert a search results into a project?
As of now, unfortunately not, you'd have to manually drag&drop all files into a specific directory and create a project out of this.
Plus, why is this issue closed; I seem to not having paid enough attention!
Hello Zettlr Team, i am interested in the export file-list functionality too. Using Zettlr as Zettelkasten in the writing process would benefit immensely from that feature. Imagine you were able to pull out a bunch of notes you created over the period of years in different research contexts and directories into a file list, export that to a different directory and import them from there to a tool like scrivener to bring them in an order and glue them together. Isn't this what Luhmann was creating his Zettelkasten System for in the first place. I would love to see this feature in an not to far version of Zettlr. Thanks.
Description
Currently, Zettlr only allows one single file to be selected in the file tree. With the File System Abstraction Layer, it will become possible to add secondary selections to that primary one. In doing so, one thing we might be able to do is enable export of arbitrary lists of Markdown files (e.g.: select a number of notes that will then be concatenated even on "default export" without the need to have them converted into a Project prior)
Example Workflow
[ ] Export all selected notes at once?
(or similar)Caveats
No known caveats, as this feature falls back by default to the behaviour we already have. Nevertheless, the caveat is #392, which blocks this issue. Until #392 is not resolved, this issue cannot be tackled.
