Hi. Thanks. That's weird. I think it's because Sublime is not a Cocoa app. I'm not sure, but I've heard it's Java based?
Anyway, feel free to improve the macros to work in Sublime. I don't have Sublime, so I can't test. Sorry. I mark this as "wontfix" for the time being.
I would recommend to use the built-in Markdown features of Sublime. I heard they are way more awesome than what I do here.
As I haven't heard back from this, I'm going to assume people don't use my macros in Sublime text, or those who do, don't want or can't fix these problems. I still don't use Sublime, nor do I plan to, so I'm going to close this issue.

Why? What's happening?
When I try the Italic command or others it doesn't paste my previous selected text inside the '' and don't put the closing ''
Example: word (selected) press option+control+i the editor ends with only '' not the expected 'word*'
