Peculiar Configuration help #2

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

Is there any way to configure a setup with 3+ clients where quicksynergy is
the server? In my case I have Quicksynergy running as the server to the
right side of three client machines. I know I can just change the
parameters in the config file directly, but I'm sure options for
non-standard setups would be well-received.

Great work though!

I second the notion, but suggest perhaps an easier alternative that doesn't
clutter
the simple interface.

I have a non-standard setup as well, and noticed that it seems as though the
~/.quicksynergy/synergy.conf file is written upon pressing the 'Execute' button.
(Removing write privileges from the file crashes QuickSynergy upon execution.)

My humble suggestion is to separate the writing configuration file(s) into a
'Save'
button. That way the quick-and-easy spirit of QuickSynergy is preserved, and
those of
us with more advanced configurations can manually edit the configuration as
necessary, while retaining a convenient way to launch synergy from a GUI.

i am NO expert, but i was wondering whether you could not run synergy on the
middle one, as a server, with the one on the left as client, then run another
synergy (open it up again which i know is possible on linux not sure on wndows)
with he one on the right as the server and then th one n the middle as the
cient, Just an idea, but i cant try it out, because i only have two achines :)
