This is actually a vanilla issue involving the Daylight Sensors. I will have to do something else with how a player gets into it it seems. Whether that would be a quest or whatever.

After messing with it, it seems to work fine now. It it does happen again, i'll just find a way to make it part of the lore, like "the door malfunctions after it rains" or whatever.
