Inspired heavily by games like Escape from Tarkov, Remnants of Kentucky combines tense PvP encounters with Project Zomboid's existing survival, crafting and sandbox mechanics.
Rounds may start without some or all players getting properly teleported
[ ] This occurred twice during our playtest, once on a completely fresh spawn.
[ ] Players see the “Please Wait” screen, it fades away, but they remain in their safehouse.
[ ] Timer will remain on screen for those who did not get teleported, as if they are still involved in the round.
[ ] On the fresh spawn, when the world and all player data was completely new, the admin panel gave the option to start a match, even with the timer still counting down.
Other round system issues
[ ] Players may be teleported into the arena and become unable to move.
[x] If a player crashes, the system will continue to believe he’s in the round, preventing the game from fully ending when all players extract or die.
This can also be abused, as if a player is in a fight and about to lose, they can alt+f4 to “crash”, then when they load back in they are in their safehouse with all their gear still on them.
[x] If a player fails to extract before overtime ends, they are not killed- they instead are just teleported back to their safehouse as if they extracted safely.
[ ] The timer may appear on screen for players not in a match
[ ] When a round ends, all players, even those already in their safehouse, are teleported back into the center of their safehouse.
[x] The in-game map may fail to show the available extraction points for some players, or may show the extraction points on an older version of the arena
[x] Zombies might spawn in safehouses while players are in a match, getting them ambushed when they return
Shop system
[ ] Certain items cannot be sold without removing components of the item, for example, batteries out of a flashlight
Unsure if this is intended behavior, but if this extends to other items like weapons with certain attachments, this would be a problem
[ ] Money not properly being added to your balance after selling items
Might be related to selling too many items in quick succession
[ ] Various overlapping text issues
UI bugs
[x] On certain menus, where you must confirm an action, the confirmation window might appear half off screen.
This requires me to disconnect and reconnect to fix and get off my screen properly.
Minor
[x] The armory room in safehouses (the one with the PC) has no lighting
[x] Items from the starter kit are not neatly organized in crates, causing players to have to spend time organizing their storage themselves.
[x] Items seem to always be delivered into the same crate, even if it’s full
[x] The value of items in player’s safehouses and inventory doesn’t seem to be taken into account for the leaderboards
[x] The insta heal system seemed to be completely broken, causing some players to enter random states of god mode.
[x] Boredom and depression seem to add up quickly when doing nothing in your safehouse waiting for the next round to win (likely something I can adjust through sandbox settings)
