Discussion about the future of this package #972

Hey guys. I've forked this package while ago to be able to upgrade one Laravel project I've been working on.

To be honest I did not think people will be using my fork, I even added a note in the readme. But people use it, and even creating pull requests.

So, I'm opening this issue for discussion to hear from you if it makes sense to start enhancing/updating my fork, or is it a nonsense? Maybe you have a better idea?

I will hope this helps upgrade the previous version of Laravel to latest version. I'd appreciate it if you could tell me more about this.

I believe you should be able to upgrade that project using my fork, but TBH I've not tried running/installing it on the most recent versions, but I've got it working on initial Laravel 8 versions. Feel free to try it out! Here is my fork - codebot/entrust
