There is already support but configuration should be encapsulated so all beacon parameters are part of a beacon settings type. This will allow for better extensibility.

[ ] Verify adequate configuration support
[ ] Confirm/Modify internal handling / calculation
[ ] Adjust unit and integration tests
[ ] Extend client side API
