Latest 1.37 update is throwing this:

Detected db service is mysql.service

Cannot talk to database. You will have to create the db manually with something like:
cat /usr/share/zoneminder/db/zm_create.sql | mysql -u root

looks like u can close this issue, seems to be a problem with my python installation, after i upgraded my server to ubuntu22.04 i never saw these errors again.
@tibmeister ur problem does not seem to be with zmes installation or zoneminder but with ur mysql
