From same poster: Also tried 1.9. It appeared to me on other download sites
as if 1.9 were for Mac and 1.8 for Windows, but since it is not labelled that
way here, tried 1.9 as well.

1.9 should work the same way as 1.8. I might be an issue with the AIR runtime I
am not sure. Pomodairo is by default installed to c:\program files\pomodairo in
windows, you can check if its present there? Or try to uninstall Pomodairo and
then re-install it. You can uninstall by re-running the 1.9 air file again and
choose uninstall.

The program appears to be present in the program files, but does same thing
as the shortcut: won't open. When I re-download 1.9, Adobe AIR always
sends a message that the program is installed and running, and that it has
to be closed in order to be installed again. So apparently the program is
running, but timer does not appear. I have figured out how to close it (in
system process window) and reinstall, but doesn't seem to make a difference.
(Also probably not relevent: this laptop is frequently used with a
projector, and whenever the projector runs, the screen resolution changes.
I do not run Pomodairo when the projector is running, but did notice a reply
to another poster that mentioned screen resolution.)
Great program! Look forward to getting it running again.

Hmmm.... There was an issue where if Pomodairo ended up outside of the screen
area it would be unreachable. I have made a fix for it, but perhaps this is
something similar.
You could also try to delete the pomodairo-1.1.db that will be in your user
folder. This databasefile contains the last location of the window. You will
lose all your stored tasks, but I guess it does not matter much at this point =/

I think I may have made a little progress with this problem. When I click
on the swf file (pomodairo.swf) the computer responds:
"The application cannot be installed because the installer file is damaged.
Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author."
However, although I have tried re-downloading Adobe AIR (also deleting
pomodairo 1.1.db as suggested below), nothing happens.

Same problem. Happened when i tried to move/access to the .db file in dropbox.
Uninstalled and reinstalled 1.9 and it would be running in processes but no
display. Interesting, I reinstalled 1.7 version and that came up fine

Hey rpm, thanks for posting! I've had to do without my pomodairo timer, but I
downloaded 1.7 and it works for me too.

How can I download v 1.7? I looked and can't find a download site, and
Pomodairo site does not have any former versions.

Under Downloads, instead of "current downloads" go to "All downloads." There
is a list of all the versions, and 1.7 is listed there? I didn't try
downloading, and they were labelled "deprecated" -- but they looked like you
could click on them.

I had a similar problem, and it turned out to be that I had no permissions for
pomodairo-1.1.db file. If I deleted this file the program started, but it
wasn't possible to enter tasks (you would hit enter, but nothing added to the
list). Once I gave myself all rights to manipulate pomodairo-1.1.db file,
everything worked fine.

I seem to be having the same problem. Just wondering how fo you give yourself
all rights to manipulate the .db file? I am using Vista? Many thanks - Rob

hi rpm, I think is an issue,if you can't open , you can delete the Adobe-AIR
pomodairo cache。win7 is C:\Users\you
user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\AIR\ELS\pomodairo

I deleted the .db file but still no good. Pomodairo Runs in background and
nothing showed on screen. But what interesting is that it worked perfectly two
days ago and suddenly it doesn't work anymore! I didn't do anything to my
computer system. Now I have to download the old 1.7 version which worked fine
at this moment. PLS solve the problem so I can use 1.9 version again! Thank you!

Had the same problem with pomodairo not starting, while it previously did work.
It seems pomodairo stops working when you enter a database location
(c:/user/desktop) + the db file (c:/user/desktop/pomodairo1.1.db). So when i
entered only the folder of the db file it worked fine (only c:/user/desktop).
Also it indeed seems to help to delete the Adobe\AIR\ELS\ folder to reset
everything.

I had the same problem. This occurred the next time I ran after changing the
directory location for the tasks to onedrive location. This is not a window
minimized off screen, I can fix that. The background process pomodairo.exe is
running, but nothing happens. I was running 1.9 on windows pro 8.1. I tried
installing Version 1.8, that did not run either (same problem as 1.9). Now I am
running 1.7, which doesn't link to a task data base. I will try removing all
files and reinstalling pomodairo 1.9 at the command line or through control
panel. My prior installation was using the pomodairo application (would you
like to reinstall, update, ect.). Perhaps this process didn't remove the file
pointing to the file on onedrive.
