Unfortunately I appear to have had a minor refactoring to redo the widget in QQC2. I've rewritten the commit (https://github.com/Zren/plasma-applet-presentwindows/commit/9eb1f57ab014808eecc76f3dc801d00939902a3f) with yours as reference and given you credit in the commit.
I cleaned up the whitespace + added a DesktopEffectToggle toggle too. I think I need to make the Desktop Effect toggles prettier.
