Disable villager spawning/trading. #779

Closed BeeRando closed 3 years ago

BeeRando commented 6 years ago

Description of issue or feature request: Ability to disable villager spawning, or villager trading in config. Or if possible, a spot where we can enter the name of any mob, and it'll disable that mobs spawning.

CloudeLecaw commented 6 years ago

Lets see.. You want

Blocking for trading with villaergers -> (block of mob interacting with a defined mob) Blocking spawning of a certain mob in a certain Region or world -> (Blocking of defined Mobspawning in a defined area)

like in Spigot wrote allready, this is not part of CMI to stopSpawning of Mob X in World X (or everywhere) or Block Interacting with a Mob. It is a part for a Protection Plugin or any other plugin that may have this abbility too. -> (gobal or defined protection area). Your Suggestion may be should be get over to a Pluginsuggestion for Zrips Ressidence Plugin. https://github.com/Zrips/Residence/issues

The Plugin can be found here: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/residence-1-7-10-up-to-1-13.11480/

You have no Protection Plugin or wanne use None? No Problem- There is a handfull of Plugins that Prevent spawning of certain Mobs, just a Question if they work with your MC Versionn.

If you Google for it you mostly find links to Protectionplugins like Worldgaurd or RedProtect.

You said: I dont want an extra Plugin for this? ...Welll..next one wants an extra Plugin for letting plants not grow or protecting crops. for cmi because he wants no extra Plugin for that one feature...

BeeRando commented 6 years ago

You followed me to a whole other website?...

Yes, I said add a feature to disable villager trading/mob spawning in x region, thank you for summarising my 4 word post? You actually made it longer. I don't know why you needed to repeat what I said in a longer fashion, or keep commenting on everything I post.

And yes, it is part of CMI to prevent spawning events. There is an entire section in the config for this alread, to prevent spawn events. https://pastebin.com/uMRhp3XX There is literally the config section that does exactly what you say cmi doesnt do.

Why would I download the entire resident plugin for a single mob setting? I use towny. I'm not going to download a whole other plugin just for villagers. That's like telling me to install the entire factions plugin just for one tiny little mob setting. That's so nonsensical.

"You said: I dont want an extra Plugin for this? ...Welll..next one wants an extra Plugin for letting plants not grow or protecting crops. for cmi because he wants no extra Plugin for that one feature..." Dude, I don't care. I don't know why you're following me or commenting on everything I post. It's like the smallest addition int he world to add. CMI doesn't need elytra settings, it doesn't need spawner settings, it doesn't need any of these features. It has these because CMI helps people run their server, and replaces essentials. It's a hub of essential and fundamental features. Disabling something tiny like villager spawning/trading is something most survival servers probably want. Villager trading is pretty over powered. I don't know why you're obsessing over this. Stop following me please.

You know what this is? Yes this is the config of CMI..unbeliveable Right? ;)

Disabling something tiny like villager spawning/trading is something most survival servers probably want. Villager trading is pretty over powered. I don't know why you're obsessing over this. What you thought what the mobLimiters/Shopkeeper/VillagerPrevents/ProtectionPlugins are made for? eactly for this.

Zrips MobFarmManager allready has the Option to Limit

  VILLAGER:
    Use: true
    Limit: 15

and Deny mobSpawning

  VILLAGER:
    Use: true
    Limit: 0

So give yourself a Little hug an buy the MobFarmManager to support Zrips a bit instead of wanting allready existing Features. . .

CMI doesn't need elytra settings, it doesn't need spawner settings, it doesn't need any of these features. Who said that they are not needed?...ohh myy goooshh..Ben the Guru ;).. hmmm may not all of them have so much use for you. But they would not in there if not someone asked for AND if Zrips would not have allready a solution for this since years (MobFarmManager) Why he should add Features of it to CMI?... Ist ist own Premium Plugin with ist own Features.

i hope you didnt mean this liitle line:

  # Prevents particular entity spawn reasons in defined worlds. All posible reasons: NATURAL, JOCKEY, CHUNK_GEN, SPAWNER, EGG, SPAWNER_EGG, LIGHTNING, BUILD_SNOWMAN, BUILD_IRONGOLEM, BUILD_WITHER, VILLAGE_DEFENSE, VILLAGE_INVASION, BREEDING, SLIME_SPLIT, REINFORCEMENTS, NETHER_PORTAL, DISPENSE_EGG, INFECTION, CURED, OCELOT_BABY, SILVERFISH_BLOCK, MOUNT, TRAP, ENDER_PEARL, SHOULDER_ENTITY, DROWNED, CUSTOM, DEFAULT
  SpawnReasons:
    Demantra:
    - None
    Demantra_nether:
    - None
    Demantra_the_end:
    - None
SpawnMob:
  # Defines how many passengers entities can be spawned at once
  MaxQuantity: 10
  MaxPassengers: 10

Maybe you noticed allready that a SpawnREASON is not an SpawnENTITY like a GOLEM or a ZOMBIE ...hmm yeahh you noticed that...else you would not ask for a mobBlock extansion here

Search as Long as you want in it. you will find no "dont allow spawning" or disable interacting of an entty..wanne know why? correct - because it was never part of CMI and it hopefully never will be. Let this part for that what it is for. Protectionplugins and MobCleaner etc. Even this SpawnReasons in CMI was allready a litle step to much. but maybe Zrips wanted it badly to be a part of CMI...so for now it is a part of CMI..thats what i said.. finnaly the dev decides ;) A good questen why he didnt implemnt this in his MobFarmManager instead of CMI (SpawnReason by World) ...who knows.. only Zrips knows ;)...may it was a user with a crazzy request like u have here ;)

By the way, it was just luck that i saw this post here and thought "hey this same guy wannted this nonsense on spigot" so i wrote here to.

can someone close this issues pls?

Finally to say "Disabling Enities Spawning and Disabling Interacting Entiies is not CMIs job. Its the Job of a Protection Plugin or a CleanerPlugin that helps Reducing/denies spawn of Entities Install an other Plugin for your wish or use a ProtectionPlugin that can do this. You dont wanne install a whole plugin for this one feature?...sorry..but..lol This is how Bukkit and Spigot and Co Work. You have a Plugin and use it ….sometimes for a small Job.... sometimes the plugin can hanle bigger jobs like a whole Protection Plugin. ist is allways up to you to use it. You use the Plugin -> You have the feature you want. you dont use the Plugin -> You dont have the feature you wanted...easy...

and last...for now.. (i need to ask ^.^) Why you installed a permissionsystem?.. ...… ...... uhmm wait..i know…. Becaue u have not made a request to impletment a permissionsystem into CMI as a new feature... and now… . Its time for clsing this thread or awaiting your next popcorntime-answer^^

Dude what are you doing. Why did you past the entire massive config of cmi? Like 1) Why? 2) Why not use pastebin, this page is now 100x longer

I dont want to buy the mobfarm plugin, I dont want to install the mob farm plugin, and the mob farm plugin isnt 1.13, I dont want to install an entire plugin just for a single tiny setting for 1 mob, and I don't want to install more plugins to begin with.

Dude none of what you're saying makes sense. I'm not even going to respond to the other 50 things you said. All I've asked for is a simple plugin feature to disable villager trading. Stop stalking me and commenting on every thing I post. I'm not going to respond to any more of your posts after this comment.
