Request to Create Improved Issue Templates #97

Open WilliamAcosta1 opened 1 year ago

WilliamAcosta1 commented 1 year ago

Problem Description: The current issue templates used in our projects are not very descriptive and can be confusing for users. This leads to unclear and incomplete issues, which can result in delays in resolving them.

Proposed Solution: We need to create improved issue templates that are more descriptive and user-friendly. This will help users provide all the necessary information when creating an issue, which will help us to quickly identify and resolve the problem.

Pros:

  1. Improved issue templates will lead to more detailed and complete issues, which will help us to resolve issues more efficiently.
  2. Clear and easy-to-use issue templates will help users to provide all the necessary information, which will reduce the need for back and forth communication.
  3. Improved issue templates will help us to better organize and categorize issues, which will make it easier to prioritize and manage them.

Cons:

  1. Creating new issue templates will take time and effort to design and implement.
  2. There may be a learning curve for users who are not familiar with the new templates.

Please create new issue templates that are more descriptive and user-friendly.

Hello William! Currently the issue template for bugs is form view. What do you propose to make it more user friendly? I think it is already well understood. And wich other templates do you purpose?

Hi Fernandomema!

If the current bug reporting template is understandable and effective, then perhaps there is no need to change it. However, there is always room to improve usability and make the process easier and clearer for users.

For enhancement requests or suggestions, a specific template could be created that includes questions such as "What problem are you trying to solve?" or "What feature would you like to see added?" This could help users provide more detailed and specific feedback, which in turn can help developers better understand user needs.

To make observations or provide general feedback, a template could be used that includes questions about what is being observed and any relevant information that may help developers understand the problem.
