Hi, I try some times to intall your Playbook, with camera pluged in or without. But some times I get an error to start the webcam services.
But now I found the issues, the environment file does not exist after playing your Playbook.
Work arround creat manually an file with this nam in the folder /root/mjpg-streamer/mjpg-streamer-experimental/environment
or add an creat file to your playbook.
shell: echo "DEVICE=$(/usr/bin/v4l2-ctl --media-bus-info usb-12110000.usb-1 --list-devices | grep video | head -n 1)" > /root/mjpg-streamer/mjpg-streamer-experimental/environment
I had a failure for this task too. I'm using a Papalook PA452 PRO USB webcam. I had to:
reboot the odroid xu4 (to load the newly installed kernel, otherwise modules would not be loaded (kernel version mismatch))
apt install libuvc0 # (usb webcam driver)
edit /root/mjpg-streamer/mjpg-streamer-experimental/webcam-pre.sh and change "usb-12110000.usb-1" with "usb-xhci-hcd.8.auto-1.2" (found with "v4l2-ctl --list-devices") and run manually (check that /root/mjpg-streamer/mjpg-streamer-experimental/environment isn't empty)
