Installation deleted everything on my desktop #48

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install software & run
2. (maybe) Find mplayer
3. Click ok to change root (or something similar to this. I don't recall
exactly what the prompt said, I just followed what it was asking without paying
much attention. But I think that was the problem.)

I pointed it to the desktop folder where I was installing tdmaker, and then it
appears to have deleted all files and folders on my desktop, and got stuck in a
loop. It created the same set of folders over and over again within the
[install folder]/tdmaker directory. ie: [install folder]/tdmaker/[install
folder]/tdmaker/[install folder]/tdmaker/[install folder]... etc etc to approx
10 folders deep.

The program appeared to hang at this point. Probably had I not exited the
program, it would have kept creating more folders within itself.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version. Windows 7 64-bit

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm guessing I clicked something I shouldn't have, never dreaming that it could
possibly do something so drastic. Just checking to see if there is any way to
fix it, as I've lost a lot of files.

Further info:
I can't be sure exactly when the deletions happened. At one point it mentioned
something about Default Folder Paths and Root Folder. Carelessly I clicked OK
and I think selected a folder on my desktop. I think this was what I did wrong.

Also, on first running the program and loading a video file, it appeared to
hang on "creating screenshot". This is when it got stuck in a loop.

Sorry I can't be more precise. Didn't notice the files were deleted until this
point.
