... appreciate it's not an "Issue", but I can't see anywhere to ask questions

Hi, no this is far from being finished or really usable. It's not yet listed on Foundry for that very reason.

I am happy to take pull requests that improve on both the system and documentation.

That said, this is mostly just a module that builds on top of https://github.com/asacolips-projects/pbta. So the documentation you are looking for is most likely there.
