Some conferences provide the password to a wpa2-personal network, some use EAP with PKI, and others use EAP with passwords. (I shudder to consider the conference that would dare allow open wifi.)
Sharing the credentials to use available wifi networks would be a useful client-side nicety. Information on a per-network basis would need to be provided, such as the SSID(s), how authentication happens, how to enroll for credentials, what kind of content is permitted or recommended on that network, etc. Multiple networks should be supported per conference.
