Right now HackerTracker is published in the Apple AppStore and Google Play Store, both in the USA, and nowhere else. Two of the conferences that we specifically want to support are DEF CON China and CCC's C3/Congress.

I'm personally aware that many Android privacy advocates in Europe use FDroid rather than Google Play; I have no idea to what extent that's true, nor if there are other stores also. I also wasn't aware until today that the Google Play Store is altogether blocked in China, and it seems the app stores there are all Chinese-owned.

Whatever solution we arrive at for infrastructure management, we're going to need to ensure that it's privacy preserving (doesn't inherently make correlation possible, at least without prompting for analytics) and is able to be made available on numerous app stores.
