New mantainer #14

Hey I want to maintain this extension as I use everyday in my tablet. I already have a fork working and published in gnome extensions.

If you accept I would like to take the main name or contribute back here so we don't have two extensions in the store.

What do you think?

+1 for adding a new *maintainer.

Though I think it would be best to rebase on @matthijskooijman's changes, given he was first to provide support for later Gnome versions: https://github.com/aXe1/gnome-shell-extension-maximized-by-default/pull/13.

And it could be worth seeing if there's anything worth pulling in from @darkretailer's https://github.com/darkretailer/gnome-shell-extension_maxi.

I'd recommend perusing a repo's PRs and network graph on GitHub to avoid duplicate effort in future 😉

I'm definitely for it as I currently have no time at all. What exactly steps do you consider? I fail finding the ability to add maintainer/transfer gnome extension

This post suggests that asking on the gnome shell mailing list might be a working strategy: https://lists.gnome.org/archives/gnome-shell-list/2015-January/msg00019.html

As for a new maintainer: I am interested in this extension and will probably continue to keep it working as long as I use it myself, but I already have a ton of projects that I maintain that do not receive the attention they deserve. So I would rather not take over maintainership, but am still interested in contributing and happy to help merging my changes back.

Hey @aXe1, sorry for the delay, I was in a work trip.

I've made changes to the fork and opened this PR #15 so we can upstream the necessary changes to support newest Gnome versions.

I use this extension everyday on my tablet, so I'm happy to maintain it going forward.

+1, this extension is excellent (I hate every moment of my GNOME experience without it) and it's sadly going out of date. Please continue maintaining it/add more maintainers and keep it up to date with the latest GNOME versions!
