Video not loading #13

Hiya, I am testing this app out but it doesn't seem to load the videos. See the photo for an example (this is just Kodi in the background to trigger the screensaver timeout). It's also not loading the videos in screensaver preview mode. I've tried all possible qualities.

@AxaliaN I guess your webOS version is < 5.0, right?

For now app works for only webOS 5+

I used the app and of course it replaced my original screensaver, as you mentioned it does not work for WeOS <5 then I am stuck with no screensaver. Could you possibly add a feature to restore the original one?

@shebet uninstall the app and reboot the tv

Hi, I have the same problems. I think that about 1 of 10 videos is loading. It would be really great if you could find a solution for that :-)

That's weird, I have no issues with loading any videos. Possibly some network related problems. You can try opening some urls from your PC with any player like VLC to check if they are available to you

That's really weird. If I start the Test Run, the screen goes black and all that I can see just the time and the name of the location, but the video is transparent.

I made a video of that problem, could it be helpful?

For now app works for only webOS 5+ Yours is <5, I guess

Yes, that's right. webOS 4.4.2 :-(

It sounds like you've planned to support webOS < 5 in the future?

As far as I know, your apps is a fork of Custom Screensaver. That app seems to work on my TV, do you have an idea what the problem could be?

Today between 12:45 and 13:30 it worked 2/3 times, without turning off the TV.

Yeah, but no ETA, sorry.

As far as I know, your apps is a fork of Custom Screensaver. That app seems to work on my TV, do you have an idea what the problem could be?

Custom Screensaver shows only some graphics and the problem is displaying video layer with native screensaver app type. On webOS <5 it does not want to show video on top of whole compositor. Video is displayed somewhere under apps UI while OSD text is on top. Here what happens if screensaver is activated above livetv image

Yes, that's most of the time my problem.

It was during normal operation. Background app was Emby. That's what I don't understand, sometimes it works and most of the time not. It worked in Test Mode too, but that was a few months ago, as I started to use the screensaver app. But also just about 1/10 or 1/20 times.

If I could help to find out what the problem is, let me know ;-)
