This is a really odd issue. GMail Icon can only check the account with the
information you enter in the options dialog. There is no way for the gadget to
know
your boyfriends credentials. When you double click on the gadget it will just
open
the browser and point to the gmail website. So if the other account is logged
in in
the browser it will show the inbox of the logged in user. So the only way this
could
make sense if is you mixed something up in the credentials or the report.

I have a business gmail account that I check with Internet Explorer only, but
my main
personal account is run under Firefox. When installing the gmail desktop
plugin, I
configure it as you said from your instructions page. But even with everything
filled
in as instructed the icon is checking the mail in my business account on IE,
not my
personal one as configured in Firefox.
Cheers,

The source of the issue lies in Google Desktops XMLHttpRequest object and the
way it
handles cookies. This will be fixed in the next Google Desktop release. Then the
gadget will work as expected.

I am having the same problem. I am always logged in for the google desktop.
My
husband and I both have gmail accounts. If we have two of your gmail gadgets
in our
desktop, with our different username and pw's in the options box, they both
only see
my gmail account. Will this new release correct this so we can access both
accounts?

I have a gmail account AND a google app email account. Although I enter the
account
name with the the google apps domain name in the gadget username field, the
gadget
links to my gmail account - *not* to the google app account.

I am having the same problem. Seems to be connected to the google toolbar on
IE7.
Whichever google account the toolbar is logged into, that is the account Gmail
Icon
checks.
