Which gadget does this problem concern?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. receiving mail
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to be hear the notification sound whenever a new mail is received.
Instead, I don't hear anything. The gadget just updates the number of new
messages on the icon but doesn't play the sound.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v 1.6.0.0
Operating system - windows vista home basic, SP2, 32bit
Which version of Google Desktop are you running and which language version
of Google Desktop is installed? (You can find the version by clicking the
downward arrow on top of your sidebar and clicking About...)

I noticed that the GMail Icon gadget doesn't appear in the configure gadget
list of google desktop.
i don't know if it's any help but i also have: Gmail Gadget, Google
calender gadget, Google desktop scratch pad gadget and Google desktop
weather gadget installed.
