Gmail icon shows same count all the time

suddenly my gmail icon shows 3 unread count on all accounts.
even if I add new account with wrong email and password it shows number 3 and 
it pops up 3 mails from (i think) one gmail that i did not use gmail icon. 
somewhere in cache or what.

i uninstalled gmail icon and reinstalled. 
i deleted all user/appdata/local/google... 
i uninstalled whole google desktop

no luck at all

any solutions?

I use firefox for my primary gmail, i use chrome desktop app for my work email
and sometimes I use iexplorer to read mail from another account

that "another" account was not in my Sidebar gmail icon!!! but it was showing 
in sidebar for all my sidebar accounts! now i went to iexplorer and signed out 
this account and now all gmail icons show ok!

what was that?
