Which gadget does this problem concern?
gmail icon

double click and you get:
"Server error 
Sorry, you've reached a login page for a domain that isn't using Google 
Apps. Please check the web address and try again."

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install and
2. double click the icon docked or undocked. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Server error 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Which version of Google Desktop are you running and which language version 
of Google Desktop is installed?

You have selected "This is a Google Apps mail address" for your GMail account 
which
