What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download the ISO from LinuxCNC.org
2. Install Google Desktop
3. Watch as drive contention drives system performance into the ground.
What is the expected output?
Google Desktop should work flawlessly under all conditions.
What do you see instead?
Poor performance.
What version of the product are you using?
latest.
On what operating system?
Ubuntu 8.04 with the Linux-RTAI kernel. (aka LinuxCNC)
Please provide any additional information below.
I really enjoyed the qgis article in Linux Journal.
