Trying to use CC1111EMK out of the box #3

Hi, I read your wiki where you'd mentioned the CC1111EMK (from TI) is the most 
easiest to use as it comes ready out of the box. Therefore, I went ahead and 
purchased this kit. 

In the instructions it tells me I'll have to flash it with a CC debugger 
(another external piece of HW I'll need to purchase). Questions:

1. Would I really need this, or does the pre-programmed flash sufficient. 
2. Can I get away with using this debugger listed at AMZ and cheaper:
