Unit 9 (0.9): image
Individual Contribution 1 0.9 I had about 5000 insertions and 5000 deletions, and a lot of commits, a very large amount. I was in charge of preparing three sections of the unit and helped organize my group as the scrum master. image
Personal Notebooks / Blogs 1 0.89 My notes have an activity at the end of each unit to demonstrate my understanding of that unit's concepts. It also helps me make sure I remember the concept. These notes have details in case I may want to look them up at some point.

Skill Points Grade Evidence
Work Habits (Analytics) 1 0.9 I have a very high amount of commits image
Team Planning (Issue) 1 0.88 We made an outline and plan of our timeline for getting things done: https://github.com/Crusaders-of-FreeBSD/CoFBSD-Team-Teaches/issues/1
Presentation Memories 1 0.9 A few days before sprint 2 started, I had finished a book I really liked, so I figured I would bring it to the lesson. I used that book as a demo to explain the concept of classes and how we could generalize the concept of a book to create many different books. Also, while making the lessons, I had a lot of fun adding emojis and memes to make the lessons a little less monotonous. During the lessons, they helped to keep people's attention a bit. Also, everyone had a lot of fun playing the basketball game, and some people even managed to dunk the ball. When I saw someone actually get hurt, I was somewhat horrified, but it also made me realize just how invested people were in the game (although we probably shouldn't allow dunking next time for safety). Overall, I had a blast making this lesson with my group. IMG_2919
Grading and Feedback 1 0.93 image
Beyond Perfunctory 1 0.89 We were the first group to go above and beyond with interactive activities (having a basketball game)
Total 5 4.5 0.9+0.88+0.9+0.93+0.89 = 4.5

Relevancy Checklist

Tarun Jaikumar's Review

Assignment Weightage Grade Comments
College Board Coverage 20 18 Seems to go over the college board content from this section
Java Examples 30 26 Examples were a bit lengthy, which might not be ideal for teaching people with (you can shorten a bit), but overall they demonstrated the concept pretty well
Popcorn Hack Usage 10 7 There was only 1 popcorn hack, although it was pretty good, I think more exercises would be helpful for understanding of the topic. Also it was a bit hard to find since it was labeled Practice.
Homework 10 9 Homework seemed to be pretty well for covering this unit's topics
Grading Plan 10 9 Had pretty clear instructions on grading and weightages from what I have seen in the grading sheet
Original and Creative 10 8.5 I like your use of emojis, and other text fonts/colors, to make the text stand out and seem more fun to students. However, in this section you can improve a bit more adding something more interactive to play around with.
Total 90 77.5 Overall great job on the lesson

Jonathan Liu's Review

Assignment Weightage Grade Comments
College Board Coverage 20 19 Goes over all of the CollegeBoard material in detail
Java Examples 30 27 The examples were a little lengthy/verbose but still good
Popcorn Hack Usage 10 7 The popcorn hack was fun but it could be nice if it was labeled as a popcorn hack or there were more in quantity
Homework 10 9 Homework was helpful for my understanding
Grading Plan 10 8.5 Pretty good grading plan, very clear
Original and Creative 10 8.5 I really liked your emojis, really shows your personality, all I would ask is for more options to practice as the 1 popcorn hack was a little small.
Total 90 79 Great work on your blog!

Blog summaries look good. Enjoyed looking at them. The home page of them might not be place to start. The memories and perfunctory items were too focused on basketball. But that is a good recollection, but you might want me to remember what was before the basketball as well.

Notes are for each unit. Activity for unit. Praised vocab around Unit 9. Discussed many books in lesson from reading. Emojis and Basketball. Talked about process of scrum master and breakdwon

KinetekEnergy commented 1 week ago

I like the diagrams on your blog and I like how you defined the vocab (since it's important to know what CB or another peer is saying). I like the image you put. I also like how you talked about the organization you did. The masochism is a bit questionable though (joke).

rahulverma13 commented 1 week ago

I liked your visualizations of the different topics, and I think you spoke really well about what you learned, maybe speak a bit slower.
