It seems that "swe_set_jpl_file" was added in 2015 (see adding swe_set_jpl_file), however the latest gem version (0.0.2) still doesn't appear to have this function.
It's a problem because I've found the base ephemeris (using Moshier) is off by as much as 4 degrees for the moon and around a degree for other planetary bodies. It's meant to be only on the order of an arc-second errors using the base, so I suspect there could be other issues.
