(On our CentOS7 x64 system I created two symlinks libcrypto.so.1.0.0 -> /usr/lib64/libcrypto.so and libssl.so.1.0.0 -> /usr/lib64/libssl.so in the same directory we placed the newrelic sdk libraries.)
