No keyboard on ASUS NovaGo TP370QL #37

I followed the README and used the prebuilt image from: http://releases.linaro.org/aarch64-laptops/images/ubuntu/18.04/aarch64-laptops-bionic-prebuilt.img.xz

After linking the right laptop.dtb file and booting into Ubuntu from a microSD card, the mouse works, but neither the builtin keyboard nor external USB keyboard works.

Any hints? Thanks.

The kbd situation in the prebuilt image as of today: NovaGo built-in kbd still does not work, but an external USB kbd works -- first spare kbd I found laying around -- an old apple kbd with a USB hub -- have not tried others.
