There are no aarch64 machines with CD drives. Therefore the notion of a CD image and the size limitation associated with it are not a useful concept. This is a debugging image that will be used on machines where access to additional functionality involved with getting it working will be useful. Please, in the next version of the image, ensure there is adequet redundancy of functionality, comprehensive tools for working with archives, etc.

Thanks for the comment @parvele. The name of CD image was simply following Debian community cdimage releases. You are not the first one questioning this, and there are some discussion around it that you might want to take a look.

The ISO images we are releasing here is actually DVD size, so space limitation is not really a problem. My intention was just to provide a clean gnome desktop with minimal required packages included. With WiFi functional there, people can install whatever they want from package archives.
