Its just a question, am I doing something wrong or issue in the gem. After I run

jekyll serve : the post is posted in medium but the This article was originally posted on my own site is pointing to localhost instead of my github pages.

Help needed.

Yes. This is expected right now. I will be rebuilding the gem for Jekyll 3 shortly (I have been on Octopress/Jekyll 2) and when I do this, I can stop it from pushing to Medium when you are only serving it locally.
