Similar to issue 5, so obviously there's demand. However, these are the
concerns:
The most important use for Gate Maps is making sure when you're in a rush to
catch a
flight, you can quickly find your new gate.
I can see adding a few features (like red carpet lounges) but adding all the
coffee
shops & restaurants I think might overly clutter up the interface and lead
someone to
miss a flight.
However, just so I don't totally shut out these requests, we can see if there
might
be some well-enough layed out maps that could handle a little bit of
clutter...give
me the airport(s) you most need and I'll see what I can do. (note sent to
requester)

Note from requester:
Thanks for the quick reply. You make a good point. The usability is best when
you can view it on the plane (ie
airline mode). Maybe the easiest thing to do wold be to add a link to the
airport website for when you are off the
plane and waiting for your next flight that has been delayed, that is when a
Starbucks coffee listing or snack area
would be great.
The airports with long layovers tend to be Chicago, San Francisco and
Minneapolis.
Note to self: have some ideas how this might be cleanly implemented that will
be investigated.

Feature went more smoothly than I expected. Took idea of linking to
shopping/restaurant area of each airport's website, which avoids cluttering the
main
maps yet still allows for access to the info once in an area with network
reception.
Added to 1.5, but as 1.4 is still awaiting approval, also dumped it into Gate
Maps
Lite v1.1.

Correction to above...rather than wait for approval of 1.4 w/o link feature,
I've
replaced the build with a new 1.4 version that includes both new maps and
linking
button. Awaiting approval.
