The user must pause app before the menu shows up. #1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run the Midlet
2. Click the Yes button to make a connection.
3. Pause
4. Restart
5. Go to the menu

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The menu should be available right away.  Instead, the application must be
paused and restarted first.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.
