We (Backbase) are interested in implementing this for Keycloak, and we're currently at an early prototyping stage.

We are interested in implementing the standard in Keycloak for several customers who need this feature. Currently, in Keycloak, it is common to extend the direct grant to provide "similar" functionality. I proposed to follow this standard here in the Keycloak community for implementation.
