I was able to address this by recording the commands in Bond as a Device instead of a Fireplace. Now the on/off works as expected in HomeKit.
Happy camper now :)
I am experiencing the same issue. Additionally, the device now appears in HomeKit as a light instead of a switch like it was previously. I tested a Siri command to turn off all lights in the room containing the fireplace device and it does appear to ignore the fireplace, which is the desired behavior. However, reporting the fireplace (on/off only) as a switch device is much preferred.
@StarChild71 Can you please explain what you did? When you say "recording the commands in Bond as a device", what do you mean? Do you mean the Bond app instead of the Homebridge? Please give steps.
I have a Kozy Heat fireplace and in Bond the Off and On commands work as expected, but in HomeKit On is off and Off is on.
Any idea how to fix this? I tried reversing them in Bond too, but have the same effect in Home App, still reversed.
Thanks!
