Transpositions of Transposition Table

-How can the dictionary key be manipulated to look for transpositions of the current board state?

• I'm guessing rotations and flips of the board.
• 4 rotations per flip. Thus, 8 ways to store a state.
• Storing all 8 keys is about same speed as only storing max key.
• Retrieving exact key is quicker than computing max key then retrieving value from that key
