This protein may potentially fall under ProRS-M, but it is unclear. It has a short insertion in place of the editing domain

Thanks Oscar ;)

The three ProRS families are summarised this figure: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0969212606003558?via%3Dihub#fig1

"Structures of Two Bacterial Prolyl-tRNA Synthetases with and without a cis-Editing Domain"

My phylogenetic analysis places PDB 2I4O in the ProRS-B clade, not ProRS-M. This means the editing domain must have been lost at least 2x. Once in bacteria and once in organelles.

As far as I am aware, the ProRS-M clade does not have any solved structures
