when watching M2TS file, program does not work with .srt subs. ignores time tags, making it unusable

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.open a .M2TS  file
2. open a subtitle file, by either naming it the same or dragging it into de 
video window
3. subtitle track is not on sync with video, despite the timestamps or frame 
tags

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
subtitles should work as expected

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.00 R893    snow leopard 10.6.4

Please provide any additional information below.

Sorry I have close this topic since it is the bug from mplayer.

mplayer really is buggy for MTS files.

We have to wait for them to fix it.
