version 1.5.0 (Windows XP) : error when "éèà..." chars in username #196

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have a username with chars such as é à è and login
2. Start WinFF 1.5.0
3. Get the error (see screenshot)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Excpected output is no error and the possibility of using presets. When I try 
to import/load/see a preset, I get the same error and no preset in the window.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.5.0 on WinXP 32.

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm a programmer and I'm pretty sure this error comes from the encoding of the 
string using to get the path : UTF8 instead of CP1252 (or Windows-1252) ? Or 
sth like that ?

Thanks for reporting your issue. Unfortunately, this bug is well known and the 
developers of Winff have not been able to solve it so far. Of course you are 
welcome to contribute a solution.
