I'm having the same problem, and it failed when I borrowed the smallest amount of eth
Update: On the Stake tab, when I open the screen in full view I only see the AAVE Stake, but when I shrink the screen the ABPT Stake appears, it seems like there is some kind of interface error or it could be a hidden but unfinished function.
Test wallet address: 0x2434A54c54aa6B6d02a03cE931cC407695be61E8
Network: Goerli test network
My testnet process: Claim test assets from the Faucet, Supply assets, withdraw assets, borrow assets, repay, staking AAVE, borrow assets (second time)
Claim Faucet: Smoothly
Supply assets: Smoothly, *specifically for ETH it is 0.4 ETH (please note this)
Withdraw assets: Smoothly
Borrow assets: Smoothly with most tokens except ETH. I cannot borrow ETH with Stable APY type and cannot borrow an amount that is too large (specifically 1 ETH with the supply amount being 0.4 ETH). Note that the amount borrowed is not too large, and the Health factor > 1.
Then I tried borrowing 0.1 ETH and gas fees are no longer an issue, however, when making the transaction twice, there was one error (both times borrowing 0.1 ETH).
The error details: RetryOnEmptyMiddleware - retries exhausted
Staking: I staked AAVE and cooldown to unstake, and no errors were detected.
Borrow assets (second time): I then supplied an additional 0.2 ETH, making my total supply 0.6 ETH, and then went back to Borrow ETH with an amount of 1 ETH, at which point the gas fee error was no longer present and the transaction was smooth. Similarly, I also borrowed ETH with the Stable APY type, and the transaction was also carried out smoothly.
Repay: Smoothly
Conclusion: It seems there is an issue with gas fees when my ETH supply is not large enough, despite the amount I borrow not being too large and the Health factor being >1 (~2).
*One thing I wonder is: Why is the APY rate between Variable and Stable so different from each other, with 1650% vs 9.42%?
