Information about CD-Number #468

Normally i have whole CD's in my playlist, and often sets of 2 or 3 CD's with corresponding cd-number. The sorting after these numbers works without any problems, but it would also be very fine to see, which CD of the set is actual playing. Maybe it's possible to separate the songs in the playlist with a line?

By playlist, which view do you mean, the play queue or the album view in the library ?

MPconta commented 10 years ago

I mean the play-queue in the now-listening-screen (in the tablet-view). Its hard to have an overview when there are 40 or 50 songs which belong to a 3-cd-compilation for example. A line between the different CD's would be a great help.

Now this view is really not very satisfying because also the songnumbers are not displayed. So you have only a very long list of filenames. Without seeing the back-cover of the CD you are kind of overwhelmed... :-)

Well, if works pretty well if you use your library in a certain way ...

I get that it does not work for you, but sadly the screen space is pretty limited here. I think that @hurzl 's work is what you are looking for (possibly tweaked a little). I'll need to check it out too

I think it is a plus of the concept of "Album" to combine all disks of an album. I don't see the reason to see the individual disks? The stuff is split to fit on cds, and I'm very glad to have everything together. If you rely on disk/tracknumber in the playlist you could also tag the track title to include the numbers? Only thing I could find useful is to show disk/tracknumber on the nowplaying screen (optionally) or on a separate info page

I agree with you, the infopage is really something we need
