When tarball is extracted, this is done in the current directory. The tarball
has no subdirectory containing the files.
The defacto standard is to have a subdirectory inside the tarball. When user is
not paying attention and extracting in wrong directory (i.e. /usr/local/src/)
this takes some effort. It's very easy to have a subdir inside the tarball,
containing all the files.
